FAQ
Where can I find your wedding registry?
Everyone we've invited is someone we intentionally want to share this moment with. Having you join us on this special occasion means more than any gift possibly can. Should you wish to impart some generosity, there will be a welcome table after the ceremony where you may leave gifts for us such as cards or money. What should I wear?
The dress code for this event is formal. Ladies, please refrain from wearing a white dress unless OK'd by the bride. Short dresses are fine! Feel free to ask us if you have any questions! Is there a dress code colour theme?
The colour theme of our wedding is purple. Don't worry about it if you don't have any formal purple attire; the theme is completely optional. When do I need to RSVP?
The deadline to RSVP is May 31st.What will the weather be like?
We are expecting temperatures of 15-20°C in late September. Please bring something to keep warm, as the temperature may drop at night.Where do I check-in for the wedding?
We will have a welcome table after the ceremony at Sage, the venue of our reception which is beside the Rose Garden. We will be collecting gifts and guestbook check-ins there. Will there be a coat check?
There will be a small rack for hanging coats at the venue. Alternatively, you are welcome to leave your coats at your designated seat. Seating will be available after cocktail hour. Will the event be held outside or inside?
Weather permitting, the wedding ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outside at the UBC Rose Garden. The reception will be held indoors at Sage @ UBC. In the event of rain, we will hold our entire event inside. What type of food will be available at the reception?
Dinner will be a buffet. We will try to accommodate all dietary restrictions in our menu selection so that there will be a little something for everyone. Will drinks be available at the venue?
We will be hosting an open bar during the event. Bottles of wine will also be served during dinnertime. Is there parking available at the venue?
There is ample parking just under the UBC Rose Garden for $10.00 until 23:59. There is also very limited free parking along Northwest Marine Drive on the northbound side of the road. From there, the walk to the Rose Garden will be approximately 5-10 minutes. Alternatively, there is residential parking around 10th and Sasamat. Parking in this area will still require a bus ride to reach the Rose Garden, so this option is only budget-conscious for guests arriving alone.Where will I be sitting?
A seating chart will be available at the reception venue. If you are unsure of where you are sitting, please do not hesitate to ask for assistance from members of the wedding party.May I take photos during the ceremony?
We will have a photographer who will take photos of the ceremony. We ask that you put your phones away during the ceremony, but please feel free to take photos for the rest of the event. We will be asking everyone who has photos to contribute to a shared album after the event is over. Please feel free to take as many photos as you want after the ceremony to help us reminisce in the future. Are +1s invited?
All guests invited to the wedding will be listed in the invites we send out.
